Well...I know it's only February, and I feel like in that light we still have the chance to be blasted with the Winter weather we have been spared of so far. But I heard that Punxsatawney Phil says more Winter we will have. Maybe he means that Winter will start acting like Winter? Although you won't hear me complaining...I know my kiddos would love one good snow.
I was out in the backyard the other day, and noticed lots of little things (aka weeds and random shrubbery that doesn't need me to keep it alive) blooming and with new growth showing. It even smelled like Spring outside. And from the squishing of the mud under my shoes it sounded like Spring too. I had to make a covert mission while the kids were napping. They would not approve of me playing in the mud when they have been told it's a no-way-Jose.
Well, Phil's predictions aside...it was good to hear birds chirping and see some color outside. My camera appreciated it as well. It needed a good workout. We both get tired of taking pictures involving my kitchen table. ;)

Well, you never know. Around here we were convinced it wouldn't be winter anymore, and we all were ready for spring. And right now it's freezing and people are preparing for their first 'elfstedentocht' in 15 (!) years. And I was so, so ready for spring.... ;-)
My kids are missing the snow too. Not me though. Love the dandelion shot.
Hi!
Great snapshots! Love the dandelion shot. I found one blooming in December! Have a great day!

Love these photos. It seems like he sees his shadow every year. So not sure. It is cooler today, but I am hoping spring is coming. I would like one snow too though.
It certainly seems that spring is already here.
I like your dandelion shot a lot. I am often attracted to little scenes like these but can never photograph them satisfactorily except to zoom right in and show only the flower head. I'm really impressed with how you managed to make even lawn grass look appealing by the choice of viewing angle and depth of field, and highlighting the contrast between the green and tan to provide a context for the bright yellow of the dandelion. The little white cress (or whatever it is) adds the perfect touch.
I don't think we even got winter here in the desert.. Love your shots.
Love the perspective and selective focus in the first photo.

Beautiful photos.
