Little Big Guy

Jericho had his 4 week check up this past Thursday. He is growing like a weed. A weed that was kind of big anyway. First off, how has it been 4 weeks? But yet at the same time I feel like he's been with us forever. Can't imagine what it was like when we were just 4.


He is gaining weight at a good rate, as in he's going to be playing football by the time he's 5. He's already up to 10lbs 10 ozs, and 22 1/4 inches long. (He was 9.2 and 21 3/4 at birth.) He's in the 75-90th percentile in all those categories. He's kind of a big deal. ;)


For such a big guy, he still looks so little. He is just now growing out of his newborn outfits, (which killed me just a little...I may have crammed him in a few of them anyway) He's surprisingly not chunky at all...and even seems to have inherited his mommy's chicken legs. (I'm not proud of those exactly, but me and him ran many miles together on those legs.)


I can't believe how fast my baby is growing. Every little thing is bittersweet. (We thought we were done after two kiddos, but after 2.5 years I was able to forget enough of Tirzah's cuh-razy delivery to try for one more.) So glad God put him on our hearts and in our arms. We can't get over how stinking cute he is, and how blessed we are to have these 3 little souls in our care.

He is such a pretty baby. Congratulations on such a sweetie..love his slippers...my 19 year old had some doggie baby slippers similar to those. Hard to believe that his size 13's could have ever fit in to such tiny baby shoes. ENJOY...they do grow up too fast, as you probably know.
