Speaking of feet and fireplaces, my feet and theirs have had some fun evenings together lately, cozied up in the house having "picnics" as the hooligans call them by the fireplace. Tirzah thinks because I put a big towel out on the living room floor (we eat dinner and watch a movie) that the actual towel is a picnic. She told me the other night she would go get "the picnic" and came back with a towel.
I think I've created a picnicking monster, and they hardly want to eat at the table anymore. Not like they really eat "at the table" anyway when we eat in the kitchen. Their little feet stand on it, in their chairs, under it, somehow their in the living room/bathroom/kitchen cabinets, etc. Anywhere BUT the table. I turn around for 5 seconds and it's Where the Wild Things Are live in my kitchen. I won't complain too much though. One day those feet will be too big to stand on my table or to want to have a picnic in the living room. So for now I'll just roll my eyes a bit and tell them to get off my table right now just to say I did. ;)
