We had a real teaser of a day last weekend as far as Baby J goes. It was one of those "this is it" days that ended up not being it. I do have a lot of those, but this time we were even ready to have someone watch the other two hooligans. We were pretty sure there would be a baby by the end of the day, and after a long morning/afternoon of intense contractions (3 min apart for a while there) there was no baby.
He's still happily kicking away in my belly. And honestly that's ok. He can stand to bake a bit longer. I'm officially full term today, though, so I'm ready whenever he is. I was pretty cranky after all that contracting...and I'm a bit ashamed to admit I sat my sore, exhausted self on the couch and cried for a few minutes. I thought no one was watching, but Merrick spotted me, and offered to wrap me up with his blanket. It was so cute I cried harder. Billy apparently felt pretty bad for me too, because he let me open my Christmas present. ;) (My new Camera)I didn't put up too much of a fight, and yesterday during the hooligans naptime I got in a little playtime. I'm so thankful for this gift. I'm sure it's going to be put to work. My last camera (which was another Christmas gift from my parents...a Canon Rebel XS) definitely earned it's keep...and I've used it so much that the shutter button is extra sensitive and the eye piece is gone. But it's still in good shape...I just think I'll let it have a little vacay.
I'm looking forward to getting better with this new camera. I still haven't had a lot of time to fiddle but so much with it. But I can see what I'll be doing now during naptime. Don't know if it's been nesting or what, but I've become a chore-finishing monster during naptime the last few weeks. I see that going right out the window, however.

I can't decide how I feel about your new layout but I love the photos. And I wonder when #3 will arrive. Christmas baby?
Gorgeous, gorgeous flare in that last photo! If that's from the new camera, I want that new camera, too! What kind of camera did you get? I'm with Ashley, not sure about the new layout...I kind of like it, but it's really different.
Contractions and no baby? What a tease! I couldn't imagine! Lovely photos!
Beautiful photos! Congrats on the camera! What kind is it? What a great gift!!
I have been where you are. Hang in there. The last days of pregnancy are the hardest. And I totally cried all 4 times ;)
Sending you best wishes for an easy (as possible) delivery and a blessed Christmas!
Oh, I so know how that feels. When I was pregnant with my little girl I had contractions, even thought I was totally going in to labour, the midwive came and all. And then it stopped. And she came two weeks later. Ugh.
But she came. And she was wonderful :)
I hope you will not have to wait too long for this cute new baby. And I love the shots you took with your new camera. What camera is it?
Those pictures are stunning! That bokeh is stunning! Enjoy the end of your pregnancy and your holiday!
Oh wow, they're all so beautiful! Have fun with your new camera :)
Good luck with your new baby. After he's born you'll have plenty of oportunities to get better with your new camera (so happy for you about that gift!).
That 3rd one- wow- those eyes are incredible!
I like your design... I have seen it on a few sites before, so I don't find it confusing. Yay for a new camera! I love your photographs. Just beautiful! Congratulations on the new little one on the way! :)
love the layout!!
