Some days with my kids I want to pull out my own hair. Other days they literally make me laugh until I'm crying and it hurts. (Actually, they usually make me laugh like that everyday, unfortunately some days I'm laughing at things I probably shouldn't be...like Tirzah saying "damnabbit" instead of "dagnabbit".) If I posted/blogged/tweeted everything funny line out of their little heads I'd probably be more annoying on social media than I already am. But come on, some of that stuff is just too good not to tweet.
Like the other night, I was giving the kids baths. I got them out, and for some reason Merrick decided his hooded towel made him "Superman". (This is new...usually we are Spiderman or Lightning McQueen.) He asked me, in a nonchalant tone, if he could "fly down the stairs" in his towel...just his towel at this point. I said sure. I'm dressing Tizzy, and hear a big crash. Naturally I ignore it, cuz crashes happen frequently around here, ya know? And if you were these kids' mom you would learn to ignore any crash that is not followed by a scream.
Shortly following the crash came "Mom, help! Can't get up!" I peek around the corner and he's laying on his face on the landing, still in his hooded towel. That was funny enough, but he seemed to feel the need to explain why he couldn't get up. He said, "Mom, when kids fall in their towels they can't stand up." I suppose if I was tangled up in a hooded towel I might have a problem getting up too. Thankfully I am not in the habit of flying down the stairs...someone has to be responsible around here. ;)

So funny, boys....they are something else. My son loves to play batman and superheros and jump off everything...

Cute story! Sounds like you have a lot of excitement at your house!
Love the boar shot. And the Superman story. =>
Kids assure a day shall never be dull. Looks like yours have things to say that add if not laughter certainly many smiles!
Your places sounds about as lively as mine. And fun too. They are precious. :)
That really, really made me smile : )
LOVE it! Love the 'cape.'
Your guy sounds like he would fit in just fine around here. My kids run around like animals in their little animal hooded towels. I like for them to get the crazies out before bed. Sounds like your guy went a little more crazy than he needed to be - yikes! Hope he was okay.
we usually ignore some little details around our house..it turned to be good photos of our daily lives...i especially love the last two shots...
