So far this has been an awesome summer. Even though we haven't done much traveling or vacationing, until now: we are on vacation with Austin-Lee's family in the OBX. This week's I Heart Photos Contest is called "My Story in Photos: Summer Edition". So we just wanted to post a little photo story-telling of our trip so far!
Yesterday we road tripped it down to OBX with my sisters...it was quite the interesting trip. Lots of babies crying, sisters singing, sisters yelling, etc. We even got a little loud for Merrick at one point...imagine that! ;)
We had a great time though...Abby managed to scare a few other fellow traveler's during a traffic jam. Be afraid:
Now that we're here...we really haven't spent much time laying in the sun. More time spent hanging out feeding the kiddos...haha.
The vacations of parents of young children are...not always exactly vacations. We are having fun relaxing as a family so far, though. It's great to hang out with all my mom's family...the beach trip is one of our favorite things to look forward to during the year.
We're looking forward to getting the hooligans down to the beach for a bit later this afternoon. Prayers would be appreciated. ;)

We have had our share of vacations with little ones! Now that ours are 6 and 8, things are much easier - in some respects, anyway!:) Hope you have a great time!

I love the photo peeking under the table. So stinkin' cute! And you said, vacations with children aren't always relaxing, but they are important nevertheless.
I know what you mean about vacationing with young kids. Been there. Your time will come. We just got back from OBX and it was a blast but now we're all missing the beach. Enjoy!
