Tough Love

Merrick has gotten very attached to this bear. He sleeps with it at night, and likes to have it for naps. It's been dipped in the toilet, dropped on the road while we are walking, lost and found, etc. Merrick would take it with him everywhere if I let him, but we are trying not to be too attached. His pacifier *that he calls pa-pa* is bad enough. The other day riding home from work I noticed he was fussing about something with Bear. Upon further inspection I realized he had bit Bear's nose so hard that he pulled the strings loose and his nose is unraveling. I just hope he doesn't take to biting his non-stuffed friends like this:
